Luke 10:1,2   After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

For the last couple of months, we have been discussing Answering the Call of the Harvest. I have previously stated that many folks carry an incorrect assumption that once you get to a certain age, you no longer qualify, or you are no longer responsible to be available to work in God’s Harvest.

This is so wrong on every level! As long as you are breathing, you have something you can contribute to fulfilling the Great Commission. When Jesus said “…pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His Harvest”, he never separates people into age, race, economic status, marital status, gender or educational level. He took twelve men whom the world didn’t think was worthy of accomplishing anything and literally turned the world upside down in less than a generation.

We discussed the Concept of the Harvest. Jesus was speaking to a farming community and they understood the purpose of the seed, the quality of the ground and the timing to plant the seed was of upmost importance in order to gain a quality Harvest.

We discussed the Call of the Harvest and how important it is to recognize the correct timing to reap. Proverbs 10:5 states: “He who gathers in summer is a wise son; he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.” Now is not the time to go to sleep in your walk with Jesus.

I want to end this writing on the Completion of the Harvest. In Matthew 13:37-43 Jesus explains the parable of the wheat & the tares and reveals to us who is in charge of the final Harvest:

40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

As a believer of Jesus Christ this is the time we will stand before God at the Judgment Seat of Christ and be judged of those things we have done since we were born again. Part of the Harvest is the final judging of righteousness and wickedness. Those who do not know Jesus Christ, or those who refused to serve Jesus Christ while here on earth will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. This is part of the second death John describes in Revelation. We know satan was judged at Calvary and his power over us was stripped away by the Blood of the Cross and the power of the Resurrection. But there is STILL a judgement that is coming for everyone, believers and non-believers.

In the last few days as I write this letter, I have had three different people whom I have served in ministry with and one whom I pastored at one time, enter heaven. All but one was sixty years old and under. A total of four people, three of them younger than I, all going into eternity. While sixty is old to some people, to me it’s not. It is a great reminder that life is very fragile, and we never know when our time will come. There are some things that we don’t know the times and season for. The day of our death is the main item on that list. But death will come. You don’t know the day or the hour, but it WILL come. Then the final judgement.

There is the greatest fire burning in me I think I have ever had to accomplish the assignment God has given me and to make sure everyone I meet or minister to is ready should death come knocking on their door. I also want to be able to stand before the Father with a clear conscience that I have given all my time to Him and accomplished all He asked me to do.

If death comes knocking at your life to take you into eternity, are you ready?

Ministry Update:

Thank you to everyone that has given this year towards all our international outreaches. In just a few weeks, I will travel back to Kenya for our last Kenya Schools of Ministry for 2019. We will also have the first Malava graduation as well as another gradutation in Kilgoris. We are anticipating graduating over 180 pastors and leaders who are impacting almost 10,000 people each and every Sunday. This doesn’t include the 600 plus pastors who have already completed our training there who are also impacting over 50,000 people every week.

$50 will sponsor one pastor or one leader to attend either the Malava School of Ministry or the Kilgoris School of Ministry. For more information on how you can Sponsor A Pastor, send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
