1 Chronicles 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. NKJV
One of the mandates I feel is on my life is to teach & preach everywhere I go on understanding the times & seasons of God. Recently as I have been praying for 2015 and what the Lord would have me speak about the coming year, several things came to my heart.
We have just entered the Hebrew year 5775. The Spirit spoke distinctly that this is a Year of Great Grace, Favor, Completion & Fulfillment. God will continue to ask us to release certain assignments and alignments we have held dear in the last season, so He can connect us with people he wants us to walk with in this next season.
When this subject comes up in conversations with people I am frequently told how they are trying to get certain people involved in their church & ministry. I have even had some tell me they deliberately prophesied to some they were missing God by not being involved with them. Stop using prophesy and manipulation to keep people connected to you that God no long wants walking in your life. Not every one who leaves you is against you. For most, their season is simply over.
If your relationships are not Kingdom relationships, you don’t need them in your life. Kingdom relationships speak life, bring love, peace & joy to your spirit (and yes, sometimes correction)…and you don’t have to work them to keep them.
In this next season, God will allow many of us who have walked through great storms and heartbreak to experience healing and fulfillment. Loving Jesus, the work of the ministry, and serving people should not be a burden. God’s perfect will carries a grace that causes you to enjoy who you are with and the work He has called you to do!
This grace and favor will give rise to what I call an Issachar Company. This Issachar Company will be people who:
1.Understand the times. You don’t wear a winter overcoat and a toboggan to a July 4th picnic! I am convinced a major reason many live frustrated lives as believers is we fail to recognize our current spiritual season and maximize it’s purpose. If you are in a very good season, enjoy it. Serving Jesus DOES NOT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE HARD! If you are in a hard place, don’t be discouraged; God loves you too much to leave you there forever…and satan does not have the authority to keep you there forever!
2.To know what we aught to do. Every week someone asks me to pray for them for God to reveal His perfect will for their lives. There will be some general things God will have you do your entire life. My general assignment is to preach the Gospel. Then there are specific assignments that will be seasonal in nature. When the grace runs out to be in a place…move on. He’s already preparing your next assignment that will be full of grace & truth.
3.This Issachar Company will bring forth a unity our nation and the Body of Christ has been missing for many years. Again, the end of vs. 32 reads: “…and all their brethren were at their commandment.”
All the other tribes were able to number those men chosen to do battle for the nation. Only the tribe of Issachar is not given a number because there was such a unity…everyone was available!
I long to be in a service in which everyone is a participator and no one is a spectator. My heart cries out for a unity in America that will cause us to focus on loving God, loving people, and completing the Great Commission.
The unity I am speaking of is not some watered down, compromised gospel that will never have any power to bring transformation; the unity I’m speaking of is a Psalms 133 unity; it’s a John 17 unity that Jesus spoke of when He prayed, “…Lord make them one even as you and I are one…”
Father, give us the grace to step into this unity in 2015!
Many Blessings!
