In Isaiah 43:19, God states: Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

I love it when the Holy Spirit begins to move in a fresh way in my life. God loves humanity so much He gives us changes in seasons to enjoy in the natural. Just as it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual. Our challenge as a believer is to understand the times and seasons we are in spiritually then make the necessary adjustments so we can enjoy the blessing of the current season.

There are some when you begin to talk about God doing a new thing, light up with anger and fight the message as well as the messenger. Please understand: when I talk about God doing a new thing, He will NEVER do a new thing that will be contrary to the Word of God. Everything the Holy Spirit has ever done and ever will do will always line up with God’s Word. Jesus didn’t come to destroy the Word, He came to fulfill. When God does a new thing, it’s not new to Him, it’s only new to us.

It troubles my heart though when people fight a new thing that God is doing; the new thing that lines up with the Word of God. But because it doesn’t fit into their perceived religious box, they immediately cry heresy and reject it.

I know there are false teachers, false preachers and a spirit of deception running amuck in the world. God help us to know the Word of God for ourselves so we can discern the spirit of truth from the spirit of error.

Then at the end of the age in Revelation 21:5 we find Jesus making this statement: And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

What is it? Is God going to do a new thing? Or will he make all things new?

Both.

In a year of the open door with narrow openings, there will be areas of our lives that God will begin to do a new thing. We will see things differently. A spirit of wisdom AND revelation will come to us. Our prayer life will increase. Our understanding of the Word will explode. We will see things in Scripture and have understanding like never before.

Often when we have experienced a spirit of revelation we had no wisdom to go along with it. We ended up causing a disaster instead of bringing life and encouragement to people’s lives. We basically were operating in a spirit of pride over our revelation. God is ready to bring us into a season marked with the spirit of wisdom and revelation. I am speaking from personal experience.

Then in some instances, God will make things new. For many of us, we don’t need a new thing, we just need God to make some things new. Some old promises that we think have died, God wants to resurrect. Things God has promised we have forgotten will suddenly become like He just spoke them yesterday.

New relationships. New alignments. New mindsets.

God is bringing us relationships that will encourage us, alignments that will empower us, and mindsets that will focus us toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God which is in Christ Jesus.

If you need a new thing in your life, allow the Holy Spirit to bring you into it. If you just need things to be made new, seek Him for it.

Ministry Update

January & February have been explosive months in our U.S. Ministry. Altars have been filled in every service with hungry hearts crying out to God and receiving from Him. We have seen more people filled with the Spirit just in the first seven weeks than we saw all last year. God is doing a new thing in me!

On April 9th I will lead a team back to Kenya for our first of four different trips to Kenya in 2014, leading our April Session of the Kilgoris Pastors Training. June 8-17 we will minister in Myanmar SE Asia for a week of Pastors Conference, revival meetings and special evangelistic outreaches.

Mark your calendars for July 11,12,13 2014 for our Annual Revival Now Summer Conference. This years meeting will be held at Heart of Worship Assembly in Lagrange Georgia. A special thank you to Pastor Steve Evans for desiring to host our annual summer meeting. We will have visitors from Kenya with us as well as some special guest speakers this year. On Saturday morning July 12 we will also have our annual Revival Now International Network of Ministries meeting. You don’t want to miss this exciting weekend of camp meeting.

Pam and I are very grateful for your prayers and financial support. The nations are calling us to come alongside them and help them. Because we are a interdenominational ministry we do not have one group that funds the work we do. We depend on the love and support of people and churches from across denominational lines. Thank you for being obedient to what God speaks to you to do.
