Welcome to Summer (in the Northern Hemisphere)! Summer here in the United States means vacations, swimming, time with family, watermelon, cookouts and summer missions trips.
This month I will be traveling back to Kenya then crossing into Northern Tanzania for our first outreach in the village of Esoit Sampu. After those meetings we will cross back into Kenya and travel to Kilgoris for the 4th Annual Kilgoris Fire Conference. Thank you to everyone who planted a special seed for these meetings! You will receive the same reward for sending us as we receive for going.
Mark your calendars now for July 17-19 (Fri-Sun) and join us in Lagrange Georgia at Heart of Worship Assembly for our 2015 Summer Conference. This is always a highlight of the year for Pam and I as we gather with our friends and partners from around the country for three days of praise & worship, fellowship & preaching of the Word. God has already been stirring my heart for this year’s conference and we believe this year’s event will be the best one yet.
At our Summer Conference we will be giving a detailed report on our activities in Kenya, The Revival Now School of Ministry, The Trans Africa Bible College as well as a report from our June Tanzania outreach. We hope to have some video greetings from some of our friends around the world as well. Mark your calendars now: I believe it will be a blessed time together in the Lord.
In August, we will return back to Kenya with a full team of ministers; some of them will be traveling with me to Lodwar in northern Kenya then others joining me for our School of Ministry in Kilgoris.
The Nyaisero Orphanage project is also moving forward. We have an option on two adjoining acres that will help serve as garden land for the orphanage to grow corn and vegetables. While we are believing God for that piece of land, we are moving forward raising money for the building of the dormitory building that will house these 60 orphan kids. Pastor Esther wanted me to please pass along her greetings to all the Revival Now family and to thank you for your continued support of that vital ministry.
Recently as I was speaking with a brother by phone about the Luke passage on the healing of the ten lepers, something jumped in my heart that I feel applies to all of us. When God begins to work in your life He always begins with a promise. In spite of the sin of Adam, God still gave him a promise. After the promise, God will begin to reveal His plan to fulfill that promise for our lives. While He shows us the end from the beginning (which is sometimes overwhelming) He doesn’t always reveal the steps necessary to completely activate the promise. That’s because He is calling us to walk by faith and not
by sight.
That brings us into His process. Just because your process is taking a long time, don’t lose heart! As those ten lepers turned in obedience to Jesus’ command to go show themselves to the priests…they were all healed as they went! This is the process.
I love it when God performs the miraculous and instantaneous! But in all reality, when you see someone give their life to Jesus, receive a healing, or is baptized in the Holy Spirit…what you don’t see is the process they have gone through and remained faithful…during that process.
Praise Him…In spite of the process.
Love and Blessings,
David & Pam
