One of the very strong points Holy Spirit has been emphasizing to me is that the same points he gave me for 2018 continue to be valid for this year as well. While God is gracious to give us a December 31st every year to serve as a line of demarcation, that doesn’t mean what He has been speaking to us ends on December 31.
Realizing I have written about this several times in the last year, but because my heart is burning with these points, I must speak it forth again. Navigating through 2019 we need to continue to incorporate the following:
1.Repent for being distracted. Many people have been distracted by the warfare that continues in the media as well as the warfare surrounding their assignments in life. The snipping, critical, argumentive spirit that has infected the world like a cancer has infected many in the Body of Christ. I too have been guilty of using sarcasm and cynicism to get people’s attention; but in reality, this is a form of unbelief. And anything that is not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23
Many are also distracted by what they have NOT seen God do. Others are distracted by their own perceived importance. Often satan sows the thinking in our minds that we are more important than we actually are to a ministry or a local church. Friends, He doesn’t need us; but we absolutely need Him! These distractions left unrepented of will eventually lead to deception.
2.We must continue to tighten our inner circle. When I say tighten your inner circle, I am speaking about strengthening those closest to us. Who is speaking into your life? Whose life are YOU speaking into? Any believer who is not giving out what Holy Spirit pours into them will eventually become like the Dead Sea in Israel. Life may be flowing in, but if you are not giving it out, eventually the life within you will harden.
Who are you in alignment with? Who you are in alignment with determines what flows out of you. You cannot pull up to a gas station, get out, put the gas nozzle in your mouth and expect Coca Cola to come out. It’s not going to happen. Who you are aligned with determines what flows out of you.
3.Strengthen and further develop your relationship with Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is not “it”, He’s HE. Unbelievers mock us for believing God still speaks to His people. While we may not hear an audible voice (some will), He DOES still speak through His Word; through preachers, teachers and prophets; He speaks sometimes through circumstances that are trying to get us in line with His Word; and He speaks through that still small voice in our inner man. Isaiah 30:21 states:
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.
4.We must continue to war with our prophetic words. Paul told Timothy his spiritual son in 1 Timothy 1:18: “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare…” This charge is literally a command. “Timothy, I command you to take the prophetic promises that have been spoken to you and go to war!”
Prophecy is simply God coming out of our future, into our present, to bring us further along into our destiny. The reason we must war with our prophetic words is our spirit knows things our mind can’t comprehend just yet. Our minds always need to be reminded of what our spirit knows is truth.
5.It’s time to advance! Now is not the time to pray about advancing. Some of us have been praying for decades about doing something or receiving a special manifestation of God’s Glory. Now is the time to move!
Psalms 32:7,8 “You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.”
6.This advancement will bring us to a place where the Glory of God will manifest in greater measure. Strengthening our relationship with Holy Spirit will teach us the ways of God to be able to move with Him on earth as we see Him moving in heaven. The Glory is simply the manifest Presence of God that is heavy with everything good.
Father, I pray for every person reading this newsletter this month. I pray the eyes of our understanding will be enlightened; and we will move forward with Kingdom advancement in 2019, in Jesus name!
