As we come to the end of another year, 2012 has been the greatest year in the history of Revival Now Ministries. I say this every year, but it’s true. While I do not have any hard and fast numbers available, I can tell you we have seen more people accept Jesus as their Savior, more people healed, more people Baptized in the Holy Spirit than any other year since we began traveling full time in 2001.
More opportunities have opened to us not only in Kenya and Nicaragua but also in many other parts of the world. And yes like many of you, we have faced more challenges than any other year since we began traveling. In spite of the challenges, God is helping us overcome with the victory only He can give!
Every November and December I seem to get stuck in this Messianic passage from Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
I know there are many other Christmas Scriptures I could use. But every year God seems to emphasize something fresh out of this passage. Over the last few days, I have been pondering the phrase “…and the government shall be upon His shoulder…”
Many people around the world (especially in the United States) are complaining about the increase of governmental control over individual freedoms we have come to know and love. This is not only happening in the United States, this happens every day in countries all over the world. Tyranny is absolutely wrong.
Men and women of every country were created to be free. We were created by God to desire freedom, pursue freedom, and embrace freedom. That’s the reason when a dictator is overthrown there is dancing in the street…people were created to be free!
The Preamble of Constitution of the United States even declares this: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
The opening of the Declaration of Independence says this: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Every nation of the world has a set of established order. The order of a civilized society is dictated by a document called a Constitution. Without order, chaos prevails. Doesn’t take a genius to understand that. There also has to be order in the lives of Believers. That order comes from a document called the Bible.
The Bible is not a Book of rules and regulations, it is a Book detailing the order of relationship God desires to have with mankind.
God has never desired that sin, sickness, addictions, fear, war and torment rule men’s hearts. But when men reject the governmental order of God for their lives, the results are sin, sickness, addictions, fear and torment.
Instead of chasing deals in the stores this Christmas, why not pursue the government of God for your life.
I pray this Christmas Holiday Season; you will know and embrace the government of God in your heart and in your families. Not by following a list of rules, but by worshipping Him and what He came to do in the first place: be a Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, The Prince of Peace.
It’s on His shoulders.

Ministry Update
I stated last month, when a shift comes in your assignment, a shift in thinking is required. Since 2001 Pam and I have crisscrossed the United States declaring the message of revival in churches large and small. Most were smaller than large. God has honored that call with revivals lasting as long as nine weeks in several places.
Over the last two years, God has shifted our hearts to the nations in a greater way to lead teams on short-term mission trips. We will continue to minister in revivals and Sunday services here in the U.S. but we are also feeling a very strong call to spend more time in other countries ministering the message of repentance, restoration and revival! But for us to accomplish that assignment, we need your help.
Would you help us answer the call on our lives to lead teams on short-term trips to the nations? From the bottom of our hearts, Pam and I thank every one of you who currently support us with prayer and finances! We cannot do what we do without friends like you!
Maybe you would be willing to share what we are doing with your friends and family? Others may know a church or a pastor who is looking to support a quality mission outreach. Or, maybe you know a business that would like to support a pastor in a developing country that is living on one U.S. dollar per day. We also have opportunities available where you can travel with Pam and I on one of our international outreaches in 2013.
There are senders; then there are “go-ers”. I’ll never forget that fateful day in October 2009 when God spoke to me “…get ready, you are going to Kenya more and more…”. That word was conditional on me saying yes. There are hundreds of people in other countries that are glad I said yes. As each person simply says yes to what God speaks to their heart, we will go more and more…and you will receive the same reward we receive when we all stand before Jesus, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!
