We are making the final preparations for our 3rd Annual Revival Now International Conference. This year’s conference will be held at The Bridge Church in Cusseta Alabama. I want to thank Pastors Bill And Debbie Bryan for hosting us this year. Meetings will be held nightly and on Saturday morning we will gather for our Revival International Network of Ministries meeting. This is a time for churches, ministers and ministries to come together for worship, the Word and to contend for the next Great Awakening. We would love to have you join us if at all possible. Visit http://revivalnow.org for more information.
In my devotion today I came across Luke 8:18 and it leapt off the page at me:
18 “Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”
NKJV
I love the Spirit of revelation that can come with the Word of God. Jesus stated in John 6 My words are spirit and they are life. There is a blessing in simply reading the logos, the written Word of God. But when that Word comes alive, it does something for your inner man that religion will never do: give life!
The key to having the word of God speak to you is in your attitude toward it. Do you look at the Bible as simply a good book? Is it a book that may give you a warm fuzzy feeling? Do you consider the Word of God to simply be a book of stories that have no modern day application?
If you do you are missing the life that will flow to you and through you if you would only allow God to change your mindset.
Your respect for a man or woman of God determines what you will receive from their ministry. The respect you have for the moving of the Holy Spirit in any particular service determines what you will receive in that service. And the respect you have toward the Word of God will determine whether the Bible will be a book of stories…or will it give you Life; the very God Kind of Life!
Pay attention; listen for the Holy Spirit to speak the next time you pick up your Bible and read. You might be surprised how much more He shows you.
Blessings,
David & Pam
