December 21, 2012 the world will end according to those who follow the ancient Mayan calendar. But wait, now, that date is in question because scholars say, the Mayans simply stopped measuring time after December 21st…or whatever day that is.
I have a prediction that I know will get me some nasty letters:
The world WILL NOT end on December 21, 2012.
Will Israel bomb Iran to destroy their nuclear weapons ambitions?
Maybe.
Will Jesus come back this year or in 2013?
He could. It’s been the last days for 2,000 years.
Will our economy crash in the next two years?
Very possible.
Will the next President do crazy things while in office?
I don’t even have to answer that one.
We have lived to see the most anti-Jesus, anti-God anti-Christ generation since the days of Jesus. Never in our lifetime has there been so much fear and uncertainty in our world, our families and our nation.
And in the church.
Out of all the organisms on the earth, the very group of people who should have faith in God and His plans for mankind should be the church. But you have two groups of people: the fear mongers who want to scare people to horde food, clothes and what money they have left because America is going to hell on the Vaseline slide; and you have those who believe nothing is sin and what is really
wrong with the world is the Church and believers in Jesus Christ. We are simply a bunch of haters. If we could all just sit together sit together and sing Kumbaya…
America IS on the verge of an economic collapse. War and the threat of it increase every day. What are we going to do? How will do missions? How are we going to fund our youth programs? How are we going to pay for the churches many have mortgaged to the hilt?
The same way we have operated since the Day of Pentecost: BY FAITH!
This is where I will lose many friends and maybe even family.
I do believe there will be a rapture of the church. Scripture is clear on the event. The timing is still a question mark. No man knows the day or the hour in which the Son of Man will come.
But U.S. people have always had an arrogant attitude when it comes to suffering and enduring hardship: they believe the rapture will come before we have to suffer!
Tell that to the pastors in Iran and Pakistan who are being jailed for being a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Tell that to the congregants of the churches that were bombed in Eastern Kenya a few weeks ago.
Tell that to the pastor I met several years ago in a very sensitive area of the world that spent 26 years in prison for preaching the Gospel.
The lie that we will escape all hardship coming on the earth will cause many to fall and turn from God in the days to come. Decisions are being made and structures are being put in place as well as a cry from the nations of the world for a one world monetary system to be set in place. Even the Catholic Church in October 2011 issued a call for a one-world money system that would provide “better equality” for all people. I’m all for equality.
But I’m not interested in your one world leader or a one-world money system to make it happen. And I’m not interested in taking someone else’s wealth because they have it, I want it, and they must have done something illegal to get it.
People will blow me off as a heretic. But the real warning is this: learn to really live by faith now because there will be a test for the whole world! I don’t want to stay through any more hard times. I’ve personally had enough tribulation to last many lifetimes!
But if our money becomes worthless, if unemployment rises to 50%; if Israel bombs Iran and Iran bombs Israel…and the church is still here…
Jesus is still going to be Lord and He will still care for His people.
You just may not need five cars, two Rolex watches, a boat, five jet skis and a shopping trip three times a week.
Jesus will become the only one who will help us survive perilous times. Not the government. Not a religious institution. A living relationship with Jesus.
Have faith in God! Remember His words, He will never leave us nor forsake us….
He wasn’t kidding!
Because of the Macedonian cry we have heard from the nation of Kenya, God willing, we are adding several more trips there in 2013 in order to answer this cry and fulfill the expanding of the vision. This will be over and above the currently scheduled trips in April, August & December for our pastors training. The Revival Now School of Ministry has also officially expanded into Nicaragua with trips planned for January, March, May, July and October 2013. We need your help this month to help us finance our Lodwar Crusade and Pastors Conference as well as our August Session of the Maasai Vocational Pastors & Leaders School of Ministry.
As I stated last month, Pam and I realize you DO have a choice in which ministries to place your seed. There are MANY worthy ministries around the world that are expanding the Kingdom of God and fulfilling their part of Jesus’ final command. Thank you again for believing in us and supporting our part of the Great Commission.
