Last month I posted a poem one of our partners Charles Kalkomey wrote titled The Next Thing God Does. The prevailing thought I have had for the last three months and that was the thought of the poem is the next thing God does is always greater than the last thing God did!
Since the first of March I have sensed a release of an unusual freedom to preach, to pray, to hear from God; there has been an unusual drawing of the Holy Spirit in our services; every revival we were in the first two weeks could have extended; until finally we arrived at Beauregard Revival Center, in Opelika, Alabama when the dam literally broke!
Since Easter Sunday we have seen over a dozen backsliders come back to Jesus, scores filled with the Holy Spirit and people from within the church and from other churches renew their passion and hunger for God!
I am very grateful for the open doors and opportunities He is giving us to touch the nations of the world! According to the letters we have received our radio program on Radio East Africa has opened the door for at least a dozen people to give their lives to Jesus in recent weeks; we received five letters in March from people who gave their life to Jesus requesting Bibles; but I am most grateful for the opportunity to see revival come to my own country, the United States of America!
This is simple proof that God is giving us an open heaven! An open heaven is a usual freedom to preach, pray, prophecy, worship, hear from God and get closer to God!
Your hunger and thirst for God will put a divine draw on His Spirit! Jesus said in Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they SHALL be filled”! (Emphasis mine)
This unusual freedom has reminded me of three things:
1. God recognizes the need we have for revival. He gave us the prescription for it in 2 Chronicles 7:14. But we have heard it preached so much and have quoted it so often, we have become numb to its results.
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
This still works!
2. People are hungry for a real move of God! Even with the problems we have; in the midst of all the challenges the church has before us, there is a hunger in people that God is awakening! In reality, I see God setting us up for another Great Awakening!
3. People are willing to go where ever revival is at! If we will pray Him in, people will come!
Stay focused on your promise! The answer is on the way!
Ministry Update:
One of the calls Pam and I feel we have is to help others get started in ministry. Whether it is with advice, with covering, or with financial support, we feel God has called us to not just promote Revival Now Ministries, but to also promote others who are doing a great work for God!
Jeb and Lori Jennings of Dadeville, Alabama have been called by God to begin a Girls Home in East Alabama, to reach girls and their families that are falling through cracks of our society. They have approximately 6 years experience in dealing with troubled girls; they are grounded in the Word of God, and they are dear friends of ours that we want to see flourish in the Call God has for them! Jeb and Lori served for many years as Worship Pastors of Evangel Temple in Lanett; have recently served as Worship Pastors at Freedom Worship Center in Lanett with Pastors Aubrey and Iris Adams.
Revival Now Ministries is partnering with New Covenant Church in Dadeville to see this new Girls Home started. If you would like more information on this project or would like to sow a special seed for the start up cost of this project, simply mark your special offering “Girls Home” and we will make sure get the support!
It’s a wonderful time to be in the Kingdom of God! And it’s a wonderful time to help others! Thank you for your giving to Revival Now Ministries! You are helping us reach the nations of the world! But you are also helping us reach our own nation with the message of repentance, restoration and revival!
God is not through with America! There is hope for the United States! And that hope is still Jesus!
