By the time you receive this month’s newsletter, Pam and I will be in Kilgoris Kenya to begin our second year of training pastors at the Maasai Vocational Training Center.
Today my heart is so full that I am fighting to hold back the tears. Not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy over what God is doing on the earth in spite of the war, fear, and uncertainty that are being preached by the news.
On March 27th at The Bridge Church in Cusseta Alabama, 15 different churches gathered for a celebration over what God is doing through Revival Now Ministries. But it was more than a fundraiser for our ministry. I was certainly not expecting it to be a night that honored Pam and I. It was more than that; I believe it was a night that honored Jesus!
Fifteen churches gathered together because the majority of the world’s population does not have an adequate presentation of the Gospel; and we must do our part to change that.
Fifteen different churches from many different denominations gathered together because many areas of the world don’t have clean drinking waters; and we want to do our part to change that.
Fifteen churches gathered together from many different denominations because most of the pastors we work with in countries like Kenya, Guyana and Nicaragua live off of about $1.00 per day. Sounds like I am just using a talking point, but it’s true. We are trying to do our part to change that.
Fifteen churches gathered together from many different denominations because the orphans of the world who did not ask to be orphans, need someone to speak for them; and we want to do our part to change that.
Fifteen churches gathered together from many different denominations because there are small churches all across the United States that God has called us to touch. Small church pastors who are just as important to the Kingdom of God as large church pastors. They are crying out for partnership and a move of God, and we are trying to do our part to change that.
Fifteen churches came together from many different denominations because of a vision that I had in 2002 of churches and ministries being connected together by a golden pipeline. These churches/ministries will be filled with the Glory of God and will distribute that Glory across denominational lines, racial lines and international boundaries. This will create such a saturation of HIS GLORY, that no one in any community will ever be able to say that they have never tasted of living water before.
These are all things Revival Now is a part of. But this is not all. There is Facebook, our podcast, the Revival Now International Network of Ministries, You Tube Videos, the Friday Fire Video Email just to name a few. Projects and avenues of ministry we are using to declare the Gospel of Jesus.
Many people are cursing all this new technology. God is looking for people who will redeem and use this culture for His Glory. We are doing what we can to change that.
I think I saw a little of what heaven will be like. I think Jesus’ prayer of John 17 came a little closer to reality. Thank you to all of the pastors and churches that cancelled services to be a part. Thank you to everyone who gave an offering and who took part in the service. It was not, is not, and never will be about Pam and me. It’s about us partnering together to do our part of fulfilling the Great Commission.
In spite of war, rumor of war, uncertainty, hatred and animosity that is abounding on every hand, unity in the Body of Christ can still prevail; and where it does, a measure of the Glory of God will fall.
Thank you for believing in us and for sowing into Revival Now Ministries
