Word For 2007

I am convinced by the Holy Spirit 2007 is going to be a year of an open heaven! Or let me phrase it like this: it is God's will for 2007 to be a year of an open heaven! And it's not because it rhymes with '07

God spoke this word to me while in a meeting in Wytheville Virginia several months ago and it continues to grow in intensity! But this open heaven is not going to be for those who attempt to live their lives any way they want and then expect God to jump when they snap their fingers: the key to us maximizing this season of an open heaven is returning to intimacy with God! Those who stop trying to make programs work that have fulfilled their purpose, who will stop pushing themselves into man's agenda and stop trying to succeed in the eyes of man, and come back to seeking God with all our hearts will find the success we've been looking for all along! (I put myself in this category too!)

For the last three years, God has been speaking to the Body of Christ about letting go of their Absalom's. I don't have time to go into detail here at this time, but a strong word of encouragement to you who still have Absalom's you are petting and pampering and not dealing with, if you don't let them go they will turn on you and not only rule you, but destroy you!

One of the main reasons God is granting us an open heaven is to release a grace to get rid of our Absalom's. An only intimacy with God can empower you to do this!

All of us have at one time or another created an Absalom: Absalom was a legitimate child of an illegitimate relationship: David married a woman named Maacah (Syrian) when he was on the run from Saul. David was destined for the throne and according to the Law; he was to marry a woman of royal decent. Because of this relationship, birthed on the run from Saul, a child was born which would eventually take David's job from him by manipulation and trickery. While David was chasing after the heart of God, Absalom was "stealing the hearts of the men of Israel…" (2 Sam.15: 6)

We've all created situations out of hurt, frustration, loneliness, fatigue and spiritually manipulation! They eventually became Absalom's and if we refuse to deal with them, they will inevitably turn on us and chase us from the place of spiritual authority God has called us to!

For those who chose to pursue fresh intimacy with God, get ready for the ride of your life! (In a great way!)
