What Not To Do When You Are under Attack

Please don’t faint as I am blogging two days in a row.

I have spoken quite a bit lately about the unusual attacks people are passing through during this season of time.

Part of this is due to the transition so many of us are passing through. Transition can be one of the most volatile seasons you will pass through. We are stepping into the greatest season we have ever experienced. This doesn’t mean there won’t be warfare. Quite the contrary. The coming season is bringing with it an even greater persecution of Christians we have ever experienced in our lifetime. The key to survival and not becoming a casualty is to stay focused on Jesus!

This also got me thinking on how we should not act when we are under attack:

1. Don’t allow a martyr complex to take root. A martyr mindset can actually push the very people away from you that you may need in your life during this season. It can also be a sign of selfishness.
2. Don’t stay focused on the attack; focus on the victory that is coming! It’s has been said the only reason people fail is because their focus becomes broken.
3. Don’t allow a rebellious discontent to attach itself to your heart. This year I have noticed there is a difference between a Divine discontent that is put in your heart by the Holy Spirit, to move you closer to God. To awaken a fresh hunger for the things of God. Then there is a discontent that is rooted in rebellion that I call the seed of never being satisfied. This causes you to abort the purposes of God in your life. Not good. You will end up taking the test all over again!

Just some thoughts. I’m sure I will add to it later.

We end our meetings in Monroeville, Alabama tonight. The freedom to preach and minister has been amazing. Believing to hear of some great reports in the future.

This weekend we will be in Moulton Alabama at New Life Assembly of God for two services only Sunday at 10am & 6pm. We would love to see some of our friends in that region if you are not having services Sunday night.
