We've spent the last 30 hours in our Nation's Capital visiting with our youngest children Missy and David who now serve on staff at National Community Church in DC. Pastor Mark Batterson is a young man with God's heart for the Capital City! They open a coffee house tonight which is greatly going to impact the Capital Hill area of the city.

We've been able to see a few of the monuments that remind us of the price that was paid for our freedom. I guess my favorite is the Lincoln Memorial. Abe could have been an evangelist! It's amazing how God always puts the right man in the right place at the right time! He knew it was God's will for all Americans to be free, and he was willing to pay the price for it to happen!

Not only was he willing to pay the price personally to free all slaves, he was passionately pursuing the healing of the Union. When we passionately pursue the unity of the faith in the bond of peace, there is no limit to how far a local church will go!

David said it this way: Brethren, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity…

We travel back to SW Virginia today for another week long revival at Rosenbaum Chapel PH Church. I am so humbled at how our Father is allowing us to see so many things take place in this crucial hour in our history. Now is the time for us to pursue God like we never have before!
