We experienced another great weekend in Pattison Texas at New Life Beginnings Church. It is such an honor to be asked to minister in churches all across the country that are alive with the Presence of God and hungry for the Word of God. Sadly, many churches no longer embrace the Presence of God as the leader of a local church. They would rather do it by committee or by consensus.

Juts a couple of thoughts from this past week:

I have a hunger in my heart to capture the TRUE message of prosperity. Not everyone is going to be rich or be able to handle large sums of money. And, the prosperity of God has nothing to do with how many toys, houses and cars you have. But if we don’t have prosperity from God we will never complete our assignment on the earth.

Last week when I checked, Delta, AirTran and British Airways still want money to fly on their planes. Circle K still demands money to obtain their gas. Walmart will not let you out of their store without paying for their merchandise. Without money, we will never be able to meet felt needs of the people the church is supposed to minister to.

It’s never been the governments’ responsibility to care for widows, the poor and orphans. It’s the churches responsibility. But in the last 50 years, the church has been more focused on building huge buildings that become monuments to men and denominations than obeying the Great Commission and taking care of widows, orphans and the poor.

Also, over the last thirty years the faith message told us if your faith is not producing airplanes, helicopters, Mercedes and large church buildings…or if your faith is not producing instant healings and miracles, you faith is flawed.

That’s a lie! You faith may be exactly why you are under attack. Just because you are in a battle, doesn’t mean you don’t have faith. Just because you are sick, discouraged or trying to find your way doesn’t always mean something is wrong with your faith; it could mean, satan sees your faith and is trying to break the focus of your faith.

God’s first commanded blessing in Genesis 1:28 to mankind was be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth. Money is not the root of all evil. The love of money is the root of all evil.

If money is evil, why are some of us working almost 100 hours a week to get money?

If money is evil, why do churches stick their hands out to money people wanting them to give?

The real problem is, when money becomes your god, that’s when the evil sets in!

May God help us to get the right view of money and wealth. Then we can prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers.

3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
