Tuesday Thoughts August 12, 2014
What a busy year it has been. In November 2012 the Lord spoke to me in Wytheville Virginia to begin to scale back our US ministry so we could give ourselves more to international ministry He wanted us to get involved with. I have done that and it seems we have gotten busier by the day!
I want to thank everyone who participated in our 2014 Summer Conference at Heart of Worship Assembly in Lagrange Georgia. Our hearts are still bubbling with gratitude and excitement for all we saw happen during those three days in July. Thanks again to Pastors Steve & Andrea Evans, Rick & Nancy McCormick and the Heart of Worship Praise Team; all the ushers, greeters, the ladies of Heart of Worship who prepared snacks and deserts for after each service; and most of all thank you Holy Spirit for crowning the services with the Presence of Jesus!
Because of the huge response from the Summer Conference, we are adding a Winter Conference for February 20-22, 2015 at The Bridge Church in Cusseta Alabama. Our 2015 Summer Conference will return to Heart of Worship Assembly July 17-19, 2015. Please mark your calendars now and make your plans to be with us.
As I write this blog post I am sitting in Houston waiting to board our flight for Kenya for our August Outreaches. Thank you to every person who sowed a special seed for this trip. The Holy Spirit would not allow me to set up a special fundraiser for this trip as He told me specifically He wanted to bring the funding to us this time. Thank you to everyone who responded to Holy Spirit’s speaking to your hearts. Revival Now will sponsor a conference & crusade in a village outside Lodwar; two Leadership Seminars and the Kilgoris Women’s Conference as well as the August Session of the Maasai Vocational Training. In 2015 we will be changing the name of the training to the Revival Now School of Ministry as we actually have more people coming from outside Maasai land than from within.
God has been so gracious to grow our Kilgoris Training in four years from 26 students to over 120 students in our April 2014 training. In July we saw Evangel University Kenya established to allow students who complete the certificate training to continue working toward an advanced degree. All this has happened because of the friends and partners of Revival Now Ministries.
I say this often, but I still have a hard time conveying our gratitude for each and every church, pastor, partner, business, widow, and youth group that supports Revival Now. Because of the interdenominational focus of our work, we do not have one major denomination that underwrites everything we do. Dozens of ordinary people give in extraordinary ways to make every revival, every Sunday service, every mission trip a huge success. Many people will greet you in heaven and say thank you for sending David & Pam to us!
Don’t forget to visit our website http://revivalnow.org to keep up to date with our current schedule, read all of our blog postings, our monthly newsletter and of course to watch all the latest Friday Fire Videos.
Pam and I love each one of you and sincerely thank you for believing in and supporting our part of the Great Commission!
