Thursday Thoughts

David Copeland March 17, 2011 11:33 am

Needless to say, the first three months of 2011 were simply a blur! I know we are just starting the downhill side of March, but before you know it April will be in full swing.

I am truly amazed and so grateful to God at what I see His hand doing through Revival Now Ministries! We have seen more salvations, verifiable healings, and more Holy Spirit baptisms that ever before! But we have also seen more extremes so far this year than ever before. Churches and people alike are either on fire or they are so dead it smells like a funeral home. But in every place Pam and I have been so far this year, where there has been hunger, there have been breakthroughs!

We have all watched in horror as the earthquake and resulting tsunami have ravaged Japan. As I watched those events unfold I went back and read Matthew 24.

While Matthew details Jesus' account of the last days events consisting of wars, rumor of wars, pestilences, famines, national conflict, ethnic conflicts, earthquakes in many places of the world; one thing stands out to me that I've never seen before.

Before Jesus even gets to the external signs of the end of the age, He begins His teaching by saying, "Take heed that no man deceive you…" Matthew 24:4.

No less than three times in Matthew 24 does Jesus warn His disciples against the spirit of deception that will characterize the last days. False prophets, false teachers, false miracle workers, and drawing men after themselves…how will we survive?

By knowing the Word of God for yourself! If there has ever been a time in which mankind needs to know the Word for his or her self it's now. It's time to brush the dust off the Bible. Open it. Read it. Devour it. In the words of the late Fushia Pickett stop reading into the Bible what you want it to say or what you have been taught it says; let the Author of the Book, teach you what He meant when He moved on Holy Men of God to write this wonderful instruction guide for life.

Don't be deceived. The end will come. It's not going to come till we complete our assignment. But we still have much work to do. There is an urgency in my spirit to move forward with the plans God has for Revival Now Ministries. Not a drivenness that is from the flesh seeking the approval and validation from man, but a strong leading of the spirit that what we are going to do, we must do it NOW!

It's time for REVIVAL. NOW!
