Thought From Genesis 1

It seems odd we are already 1/3 of the way through 2006! People told me time would speed up the older you got, but I didn't believe them!

There continues to be a brooding of the Holy Spirit in every service we are in. In all the years I have preached the Gospel, I don't think I have seen the wooing, pleading and the yearning of the Spirit for people to come to the Father!

In fact, all this year the Spirit continually brings to my mind Genesis 1:1-2

1.In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (emphasis mine)

Many interpretations abound on that last phrase about the Holy Spirit. But one thing I do know: the Holy Spirit always has been here and He always will! In fact, He will be on the earth working during the tribulation period, because Scripture states people will be saved during that time and a person cannot be born again unless the Spirit draws him (John 6:44) He is God's personal representative to release and reveal Father's will on the earth!

As I ponder that phrase, in my mind I see a picture of a baseball player standing on his tiptoes, waiting on a batter to hit the ball. We have all been tickled at little T-Ball players who distracted the crowd, their moms and dads, the birds; they are focused on everything else but baseball! The Holy Ghost is not looking around, distracted by the birds, the flowers the trees or the traffic; He is intently focused on the Father and anticipating the Word that will come from His lips and He will take that Word and deposit it into the earth!

The Holy Spirit was making sweeping motions then; and He continues to sweep back and forth, on His tiptoes, waiting for the Word that God the Father wants to deposit into your life and situation that will bring both light and life, more abundantly!
Then all of a sudden, God the Father speaks: Light, BE! And it was so!

Many, many people are in a hard place. In your marriage, your job, your family, and your health. This is not meant to simply be a religious cliché'. The Holy Ghost really is at work in your situation. He is anticipating a Word from the Father, and when He receives it, He will immediately deposit it into your heart and life. And you will see victory, healing and deliverance! You are not going to have to wait until you get to heaven. You will have now, in this life, this year, this month, some of you even this day as you read this newsletter, The Holy Spirit is speaking that rhema that will change you situation today!

"Father, continue to brood, to sweep over us; allow the Holy Spirit to stand at attention, at the ready, on His tip toes; release the word of healing, the word of deliverance, the word of restoration for your people this day, in Jesus name! Amen!"
