The Shift Continues…

David Copeland July 6, 2006 10:13 am

I hope everyone had a great July 4th celebration for those of you in the U.S.; and for everyone outside the U.S. I hope your week is greatly blessed of the Lord Jesus!

In Prayer this morning I heard this phrase: …the shift continues…

It only takes a very minor shift in the earth's plates to cause a giant tsunami; a very minor shift can also cause giant skyscrapers to come tumbling to the ground.

A minor shift in the Spirit realm may cause damage to things we are putting a deathgrip on and not letting go of. God is shifting us away from our own man made structures and ideas. Bringing us into more of a God-ordained order. So His Glory can not just visit, but inhabit!

Eph 2:20 He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he's using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone
Eph 2:21 that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day–a holy temple built by God,
Eph 2:22 all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home. (Message Bible)

Our challenge is to let God do the shifting! When we shift things around, it breaks relationships in the wrong way, and causes great harm to the cause of Christ and we end up fighting among ourselves! But when God does the shifting, He also does damage control!

Peace out!
