The Brooding (Moving) of The Spirit 2

David Copeland August 25, 2007 1:12 pm

The Holy Ghost continues to amaze me!

Our unscheduled services ended on Tuesday night, but not before the Holy Ghost moved in a profound way!

The brooding of the Spirit continues! If you are in the Gadsden Alabama area, I would encourage you to check out New Season Assembly of God! I believe we are going to hear of a great outpouring of the Spirit there! People are hungry and thirsty; and Jesus said that was the only requirement you needed to be filled!

Pastor Darryl Ballew sent me this email:

Bro. David

Wow! This has been great! I really had not expected to be meeting two
additional nights, but it was great. I sense people coming together in
agreement in our church. I also see and know that God will inhabit a hungry
people. I appreciate your heart and the work that you are doing for the body
of Christ. This has been a wonderful week of services. Thank you again for
your timely messages and obedience to the move of the Spirit.

God Bless you and Pam

Darryl

I'm not posting this email to promote me or any abilities we have: it simply tells me where ever hungry people congregate together, watch out! God may just catch you off guard!

I end with Pastor Shane Smith's finding from the PC Study on the phrase "…the Spirit of God moved on the face of the deep":

This post really messed me up! I opened up the PC Study Bible and looked up the phrase in Gen 1:2 in which the Holy Spirit moved "upon the face of the waters." This is what it said:
OT:1949
huwm (hoom); a primitive root [compare OT:2000]; to make an uproar, or agitate greatly:so I respectfully submit a #5
#5 A move ( or brooding of the Holy Spirit ) will AGITATE GREATLY the FLESH!!
A genuine move the the Spirit will mess up all of our fleshly thought processes and plans!!!!

O God, agitate greatly our fleshly tendencies to do things our way! Mess up our plans till Your Kingdom can come and Your will can be done!
