Thanksgiving

David Copeland November 25, 2005 1:06 am

As we have spent the day with our children and my mother and father-in-law, I could not help but give thanks to God for so many things.

I want to thank God today for the free gift of salvation I experienced as a young man. I realize He didn't have to allow me to be touched by and with His word but He did…and for that I am thankful.

I want to thank God for my wonderful wife of almost 27 years now; a tremendous woman of God who doesn't yet fully realize the anointing that she carries, because she would rather others stand in the forefront. She is a true help mate and for her I am thankful to God.

I want to thank God for my two beautiful daughters who have given themselves completely to God and to the ministry they have been exposed to their entire lives; and I'm thankful for the two powerful son-in-laws God has given to me who I consider more sons than "in laws"…for them I am very thankful.

I want to thank God for my two precious grandchildren. Whether I am in the jungle, in a revival, or even in the Wal-Mart, when I think of them I cannot help but thank my Heavenly Father for allowing me to live long enough to see them come into this life. I want to thank God that they too have a destiny to fulfill and will do great exploits for the Kingdom of God! All the way to one thousand generations!

I want to thank God for my in-laws who have taken me into their family and treated me as a son for so many years; for them I am thankful to God.

I want to thank my Heavenly Father who counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry. It's true, I am a work-a-holic and many times I have been out of balance with ministry and family; but in spite of all my failures and shortcomings, He still choses to use me and open doors for me to share His love and the good news He is coming again!

I want to thank God for allowing us to partner with World Harvest Missions in Lake Worth Florida…and for allowing Pam and I the joy of knowing Miriam and Edward Frederick not only on a proffesional basis, but also as family. Miriam has been a true spiritual mother to us and to God I am so thankful for this Kingdom Connection.

And I want to thank God for all the pastors and partners who over the last five years have believed in us, opened doors for us, and trusted us when many of them knew nothing about us. I thank God He can still speak to people to believe in you when it seems like you are not even sure if you believe in yourself! There are so many I wish I could name, but if I do I will leave someone out and I don't want to do that; all of you mean so much to us and we cannot do this work without you!

I want to thank God for all the people who have listen to the radio station, our new podcast, visited our websites, responded to the altar calls and those who have recieved something from God this year through this ministry. I am thankful to God for you and pray for God to increase His Spirit in your life more and more in 2006!

I want to thank God for Phil and Kathy Teague, people who have become a such a vital part of this ministry though their volunteer efforts at WRNK. God is using them to touch the Lanett, Alabama area with the message of restoration and forgiveness. I am thankful for what God has done in their lives this year.

To all our family, our friends, our partners, our prayer warriors and our pastor friends…I thank God for you all and pray God's richest blessings be upon you in the days to come!
