Tests and Pressure

I came across these thoughts today while cleaning out my briefcase that really blessed me (don't know why I haven't already blogged them? I don't know if they are my thoughts or someone else's…so forgive me, I'm not plagiarizing on purpose, it's just too good to pass up….

"One of the hardest tests we must pass in waiting on God to move is to not be distracted by other things God is doing. It's hard to resist the pressure of even joining other successful moves of God especially when well meaning people suggest you are missing God by not doing so. We must learn to give ourselves only to what God called us to…especially if He has us in a season of waiting on Him!

Not doing so (yielding to pressure from others) brings forth Ishmaels and Absalom's. God may bless our Ishmaels: but they never will become God's real purpose for our lives."
