New Beginnings

It's hard to believe it's August again! In a few days we will be complaining about how cold it is instead of how hot it is!

August is always a very special month for us. The number eight in scripture is the number of new beginnings. Every August for the last 20 years something very significant has happened that affected us both personally and in our ministry.

August 1, 2001 was our last day as a pastor in Lanett, Alabama. Five years ago today we embarked on a journey that has taken us almost all the way around the world, ministering on five different continents, and developing friendships we would never have developed had we not took the step of faith and follow God. We didn't know what we were doing then and we still don't. All I know is our eyes are on Him!

As we enter this month of new beginnings, I can't wait to see what God is going to do this year! I encourage everyone who reads this blog: ask God to open your eyes and show you the next step in your walk with Him. For some it will be a change of location; for others it will mean letting go of unforgiveness and strife that has held you in bondage for years. For others it will simply mean a new touch of God's Spirit coming into your life!

I strongly believe for many who read this, August will be a month of new beginnings for you…and not in a bad way…but with an anointing of the Holy Ghost you have been crying out for for a long time!
