National Community Church

One of the fastest growing churches in America is located just a couple of blocks from Capital Hill, named National Community Church with Pastor Mark Batterson. Saturday night March 11 they opened a coffee house which will serve as a ministry outreach, ministry offices as well as home to Saturday night services.

One aspect of revival that is seldom discussed and often overlooked is the redeeming of places in society often looked at by the church as heathen entertainment establishments.

I think it's time to quit cursing the darkness and lighting the Light of God's Power in some of these places! Young men and women all over the country are catching that vision, renting movie theaters, starting coffee houses and and establishing youth outreach centers for the preaching of the Gospel to this generation.

John Wesley preached in the fields…others preached in factories and on street corners. To me this is street preaching and brush arbors come full circle!
