Kenya Weekend Update August 25, 2013

David Copeland August 25, 2013 1:43 pm

Our first full week of ministry is now complete in Kenya East Africa.  As we arrived in Kilgoris for the August Outreach expectation and anticipation was at a very high level for the meetings we are a part of. The Kilgoris women’s Conference was well attended as Pam and Ann Marie Morgan ministered to the ladies. God powerfully touched the women present and everyone left highly encouraged.

The August Sessions of the Maasai Vocational Training exploded from the very first session. There seemed to be a seamless transition from the ladies meeting into the Pastors Training that was held in the same venue. After one day and a half we have over 60 pastors and leaders registered with even more in attendance. Thanks to Pastor Brad Morgan from Pattison Texas and Pastor Johashaphat Mulusa from Nairobi for serving as instructors during these sessions.

Because of a fire at Nairobi International Airport earlier in the month that destroyed the arrivals and immigration area, my original arrival date was delayed until Saturday August 17. This kept me from being able to attend the Lodwar Conference and crusade. Pastor Jackson Mongaine ministered in my place and saw a tremendous move of the Spirit there. Almost 5,000 attended the meetings with over 150 documented new converts. These new converts are being followed up and assimilated into local churches there in the city.

Thank you to all the friends and partners of Revival Now Ministries for your special giving in recent weeks. Your offerings made this crusade in Lodwar possible as well as the meetings here in Kilgoris a success. Pam and I know without a shadow of a doubt we are in the center of God’s perfect will working here in Kenya. The words of Paul to the Corinthian church ring loud and clear: For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. 1 Corinthians 16:9

But with every adversary, there is a helper. With every challenge, there is consolation. With every battle, there are weapons of warfare that work and bring about the victory!

Thank you for being a part of every battle we face and for being a participant with us in every win.
