Kenya Update April 21, 2012

As we approach the end of our April Kenya outreach, my heart is swollen with joy and appreciation of what we have seen God do these last 25 days!

Our Pastors Training was incredible. The hunger and the thirst for God and His word were literally off the chain. There has been a tremendous shift and growth in the Pastors Training, both spiritually and numerically. I am so thankful God is allowing us to work here for this season.

Aaron & Sarah Bowman from Cross Connection in Auburn Alabama joined us last weekend and have been leading a Youth Camp for the Pentecostal Assemblies of God of Southwestern Kenya. Between 150-200 Youth from across southwest Kenya have enjoyed the Presence of God in a fresh way. Today, several youth reported receiving healing in their bodies and a result of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit taking place here. Cross Connection and Pastor Russell, you can be proud of the way Aaron & Sarah has represented you and the Kingdom of God.

As I write and post this note to Facebook, we are leaving for the Anointing Service of the Youth Camp. Last night I was honored to preach and the Holy Spirit touched many, many hearts and brought them to a new place of purity before God. Please send a prayer up for us that there will be a mighty release of God’s power tonight into these students’ lives.

One project that we have been anxiously waiting to announce is our Kindle’s For Kenya. Last August we began to have a vision to supply pastors with a Kindle that would be loaded with Bibles, commentaries and other study helps.

A donor from Cross Connection graciously donated 5 Kindle Touch’s that we were able to give away. I wish you could have seen the joy on the faces of these first pastors to receive this resource. When a minister of the Gospel is equipped and encouraged the church always rises to a new level indeed. If you would like to sow a seed into that project, you can send me an email to david@revivalnow.org or to Aaron Bowman aaronrbowman7@gmail.com and we can tell you how you can be a part of Kindle’s For Kenya.

In the days to come we will also be announcing our Support a Pastor Project. When a man or woman of God answers the call of God to preach, they literally forsake everything to follow the Spirit’s calling. We are already supporting many pastors here with offerings, as we are able. When you live on $1.00 per day, any piece of money you are given becomes a great blessing. It can absolutely mean the difference between eating…and not eating.

Sunday evening Nairobi time we will begin the long journey home. I know I will write more when we get to London then home and I am able to process the trip a little more. Thank you to all our partners for you prayers and most of all your financial support. A Short-term missions trip works with Revival Now Ministries!

Thank you again for believing in and supporting our part of the great commission.
