July Guyana Update

This time it was an honor for me to have my lovely wife Pam accompany me to the interior of Guyana as we spent 12 days ministering to the Amerindians that live in the Northwest region. Here's her thoughts she wrote for our August Newsletter….

As I sit and ponder on everything I have experienced the last 12 days, I am amazed at the working of God's hand every single day we were in Guyana! I feel so honored that God chose me to be one who would carry the Gospel to another country.

We are so spoiled as Americans in having everything and yet we still have no joy. The Amerindians don't have anything, yet they still have the joy of the Lord! As I ministered to the ladies in the different villages we went to, I began to realize that I was the one that was actually being ministered to!

1 Peter 4:11 says "If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

As I ministered to the ladies, I said "God, I don't feel like I have anything to give them." And God said, "Open your mouth and I will give you the words I want you to speak…"
We all feel inadequate at times, but just know that when you are where God wants you to be, He will work through you.

We also prayed for the Amerindian ladies one on one and asked what their needs were. Even though the needs were great, they still had the faith that God would answer their prayers. I can say I have come away from this trip knowing that I fulfilled the will of God for my life! Even though I didn't feel like I was worthy enough, the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 1:9 that it is God who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began!

I know I don't speak or write in our newsletter often, but I want to say thank you to everyone who gives to our ministry. Thank you for sending us to the Amerindians, to the Kenyans, and to the other nations God has opened the doors for us! You'll never know this side of heaven what the offerings and prayers did or will do to further the Kingdom of God in Guyana! I pray God richly bless you all!

I Love You All!
