Guyana Update 4

There is no way I could ever describe everything that happen in the last two weeks in Guyana, but I must say, I thank God for His mercy and grace and I thank Him for the Angel of the Lord that protected and surrounded us during our time there.

Guyana is named the Land of Many Waters because of the enormous amount of rivers and creeks that make up the country. El Nino' has caused the winter rainy season to be cut short, so that made travel a major chore. The Moruca River was lower than I ever seen it. So low we had to get out of the boat and push appoximately two miles through an area we call the Dark Bush. It really looks like a seen from the Burt Reynolds movie Deliverance! I kept saying to myself, either I love Jesus and am called to this or I am the craziest man I've ever seen! But once we got to the Waini River it became much easier to move around.

When we arrived at Kwebana, I had just enough time to organize a group of people to unload the boats, set up the cots we were to sleep on then get to the church. I preached on The Now Is Hour and at the altar call many young men came forward. One of them was a man who was in Full Gospel ministry, but had backslidden several years ago. He came to the altar and rededicated his life back to God! His wife and I had been praying for him since we had been coming to that village and now her prayer was answered! It's still time for the backsliders to come home!

Monday and Tuesday I spent my time in a village named Unity Grant. Pastor Carl has become a dear brother to me and there is such a Kingdom Connection that God has enabled us to spend quite a bit of time speaking into that congregation.

Over the past couple of months the devil had been causing a spirit of division in the church, to the point Pastor Carl was ready to leave. But with the help of God and two days of loving and encouraging them, by Tuesday afternoon several people in the congregation stood up and began to publicly apologize to the pastor and his wife! When people start getting right with God they will get right with each other; and when they get right with each other, the Glory of God will come in a fantastic way!

One of the greatest hindrances to revival is the offended spirit. In fact, the offended spirit has stopped every major revival move that has ever come to the earth! Jealousy, envy and strife among the brethren will kill and destroy everything God is doing and trying to do in your life!

God spoke to me and told me to take a zip lock bag, give the people a piece of paper, write down the things they were struggling with, mad about, angry with, put it in the bag and throw it into the river! When we did this, victory broke out in that little church!

I urge every one of us: if there is anyone who has hurt you or offended you, forgive them and release them now! Jesus said it best in Mark 11: 25, 26

And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have aught against any: that your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. (26) But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

As we ended the day in prayer, many testified of God's healing touch moving the sickness out of their bodies they had been experiencing!
