Guyana February 2007 Update 2

The rest of the team from the U.S. arrived last night and final preparations are underway to go to the interior on Saturday. There is a lot of work that goes on in the background to put together even the shortest of Mission Trips. Pastor seminars, village ministry and church construction begins in earnest tomorrow.

On Saturday we will travel again by bus, then boat, then by van again to Charity which is the staging area for the interior. You can't see the end of the world from here but it's just around the corner:)

This will be the last time I am able to blog until next Sunday (19th). Two prayer request that are urgent: One, we need rain in the interior! There has been no rain since Christmas and the rivers are the lowest now they have been in years! We went from the highest water in December we've ever seen, to know the lowest; El' Nino is to blame.

Second, the pastor's wife at the Cloudland Church is at the point of death and needs a divine healing! We are going to see if there is any medical care that can be given, but more importantly, pray for God to impart the faith that is needed to see this woman healed! She is in her late 40's and the doctors can't find what is causing the sickness!

Also, pray for another mighty harvest of souls to come for the Amerindians, one of this hemisphere's forgotten people groups!

And pray we don't have to push boats through the swamps all week!
