Gifts of the Holy Spirit Are For Today!

We just finished four days in Wytheville Virginia at Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church. Pastor Bob Lewis is a genuine apostle, leading this congregation in a fresh work of the Spirit there.

Every night there was a distinct flow of the Spirit. Every night, people added to the service by allowing the gifts to flow through them. Not in a kooky way; but in a very sensitive way that brought edification, exhortation and comfort! In fact the pastor said tonight, we're just milking the Holy Ghost for everything we can get out of Him!!!
It was very interesting to end this week of meetings at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles. I am not a Judaizer; I don't want to bring us back under the law. But we need to understand, Jesus didn't come to destroy the Law, He came to fulfill it! Focusing on the pitcher of water pouring out on the altar in John 7, the Holy Ghost began to move and touch people with Living Water!

Thank God the Holy Spirit is just as real today as He ever has been! At the end of the service, an 11 year old boy testified God dealt with him an told him to come every service. God touched him tonight and you could see a visible difference in the young man's countenance! That's why the gifts operate: to bring confirmation of genuine change in people's lives!

There is great debate on the internet on whether we shoudl allow the gifts of the Holy Spirit to operate in our services. I saw the gifts touch an 11 year old and make a dramatic change in his life. Adults were changed also, this according to the pastor.
