Final April Kenya Update

David Copeland April 28, 2015 6:17 pm

Our April 2015 trip is now complete. The Presence of God did not disappoint us at all as He saved, healed, met needs, equipped and imparted another level of His Presence into our lives. Special thanks to Bishop Charles Henderson, Pastor Edith Carlin and Dana Myers for joining me on this team. There was great unity, laughter, seriousness, crying, and great joy with this group of laborers. Thank you for serving Jesus with me these last two weeks!

There were over 100 ladies from at least 32 different denominations joined together for the 2015 Kilgoris Women’s Conference. Pastor Edith Carlin brought an on time word for the ladies…and they even let me minister to them twice as well. This was our first Women’s Conference held in April and it was a great success. The Kilgoris ladies are already planning the meeting for 2016. Thank you to all our friends and partners who sowed seed specifically for this outreach!

When we took the step of faith to establish the Maasai Vocational Training in April 2010, I had no idea it would grow into what is has become. The words of the old Gospel song are true:“Little is much when God is in it!” In fact at this point in my life, I do not want to be a part of anything God is not in! Because of the growth of the School to include pastors & leaders from many of the other tribes in Kenya, last year we officially changed the name to the Revival Now School of Ministry. Also last year as a result of the growth of this training we were also able to birth the Trans Africa Bible College the degree level training for ministry, and an extension of Revival Now Kenya.

April 20-25 we saw over 130 pastors & leaders attend this session of the School of Ministry. 118 officially registered to qualify for the Certificate that is given each December. Bishop Henderson, Pastor Carlin connected and communicated the heart of God for these rural leaders and on Friday afternoon a Holy Ghost bomb exploded with the Glory of God.

God has given us a tremendous group of leaders who are making the School of Ministry run smoothly each time we gather together. Thank you Pastors John Olempurkoi, Jackson Mongaine, Dalmas Momboshi, John Sang, Paul Egeny, Joseph Marrau, Patrick & Caroline Wanjala for being a part of the 2015 RNSOM Leadership Team!

The next School of Ministry will meet in Kilgoris from August 24-29, 2015.

As I previously mentioned on April 18th we officially dedicated 2 acres of property just 7 miles north of Kilgoris that will become the future home of the Nyaisero Orphanage. Pastor Esther, Phillip and all the children were so excited to see us and to hear the news that God has provided again!

On Saturday April 25 we were able to visit them again, take food and spend a few minutes fellowshipping and greeting the kids…and yes, we always come with sweets. The next phase of the Orphanage Project will be to fence the property and possibly buy 2 adjoining acres that will make a beautiful place for them to grow maize (corn), beans andother vegetables. We will also immediately begin raising money to build the first building that will serve as dormitory housing for the kids. They send their love and great gratitude for helping them come this far.

June 9-15 I will travel to Tanzania with a team of brothers from Kilgoris to minister to a forgotten area of Massai brothers & sisters that have been asking for us to come for almost five years now. I am very excited about this trip and look forward to enlarging our territory and seeing what God has in store for us in Northern Tanzania. We will then come back to into Kenya for the 2015 Kilgoris Interdenominational Fire Conference to be held this year at Kilgoris Church of God.

Again, I am deeply humbled that God would open so many doors in so many other lands for Revival Now Ministries. Pam and I are also deeply humbled that so many of our partners believe in us and are willing to help us carry the financial responsibilities of this work. As I state repeatedly, because of the trans-denominational work of Revival Now, there is not one specific major denomination underwriting our outreaches. Every thing we do is sponsored by churches and individuals from many different denominations and fellowship groups.

God is using you to build Unity in the Body of Christ in Kilgoris, Kisii & Lodwar Kenya; in Myanmar, Tanzania, Uganda and many other nations of the World. I heard this over and over these last two weeks: “we are stronger together than we are separate!”

Thank you for your sacrificial giving to Revival Now. Your giving is especially appreciated as we prepare for our June Tanzania/Kenya outreaches. All we ever ask is that whatever the Lord tells you to do…do it!

And many souls will rejoice because of your help!

Asante Sana!
David
