Dream For A Fresh Cutting Edge

I was awakened Saturday morning by two consecutive dreams in which I was standing on a hill over looking a valley. In the distance I saw five different gray tornadoes coming towards us. I came down the hill and gathered my family around me and knelt down to pray. As one tornado came over me I remember rebuking the storm and it obeyed the authority I was walking in, but I also noticed there was something missing in my authority. As I had the grandkids gathered around me I sensed no fear and even Elijah looked up at me smiling. As that tornado overshadowed us a bright light shined on us and we stood up and basically went about our business. I also noticed there was no damage around me.

I walked back up the hill and saw those same five tornadoes instantly turn into black silhouette figures of people. I noticed they were very stiff but moving in mockery of those of us in the Valley.

During the morning the Holy Spirit began to reveal some of the interpretation to me:

First the gray tornadoes represent something not exactly right, but not wrong; gray areas, unclean, vague, not specific. It also represents deception and deceiving spirits.

Secondly I realized there are five Sundays (including today) between now and election day. Five in Scripture is also the number of grace and mercy. On the negative side it can also represent works, service and bondage.

The tornadoes turning into black silhouettes of people represent somethings that are fake, only an image of the real thing. They are designed to mock and produce fear and intimidation in people's hearts and lives. The devil wants to make things look different than they really are; to deceive us and lure us away from simple faith and complete devotion to Jesus Christ.

The Spirit then took me to 2 Kings 6 and the story of the floating axe head.

Over the next five weeks we are going to see an unusual release of deceiving spirits that the nation, the world and the church need to be able to cut through. We need a cutting edge of the Spirit that will cut through the false, deception, the mockery and lies in order for truth and righteous to prevail. But if the church will retrieve our axe head, God will empower us with a Word and an anointing to cut through the "stuff" in order for people to make informed decisions. The lack of authority I was feeling was a weariness that has enveloped the body of Christ, especially the intercessors and pastors who have been faith in prayer and declaration and preaching the Word, but have been wearied by a long season of warfare and what seems to be unanswered prayer.

God is releasing a new Grace for this season! I encourage you to spend some time fasting AND praying. Spend some time getting some extra rest also. We cannot wage effective warfare against the enemy if we are beat down physically. We may need to clear our calendars of some things that are actually distractions from the blessing and grace God is wanting to releasing for the next five weeks.

While I feel the dream was for the Body of Christ at large, I would still appreciate some extra prayer for me and our family; we are ministering in several churches in October and November that are of the brink of revival. And we are also preparing to return to Kenya in Late November for 12 days of ministry.
