Camp Meeting Update

Tonight is the final night of our 2006 Labor Day Camp Meeting. It has been a wonderful time with God showing up each night and showing out!

Last night, I preached on the Open Heaven and something I had not seen about Genesis 28 before.

In Genesis 28 Jacob was commanded to leave Beersheba, the well of the oath or the well of promise, to go to Haran, which means a parched place. I began to see the reason for so many "parched" experiences in my life, was God wanted to transition me from one level to another. And the open heaven is to encourage me to let go of everything that would hinder my progress in God! (Some of you already knew all this!)

But the major point I had not seen before, Jacob went to a parched place, but came out with well over twice as much as he had when he went there! God wants to bless us with a double portion (represented by Leah and Rachel) to come out with.

God would not allow Laban to keep Jacob in slavery forever! You may think you will always be a slave to this dilemma, this person or situation that is mocking your destiny, but God is issuing the call to leave your parched place and go back to the place where you encountered the open heaven!

I hope to be able to offer this as a podcast some time this week.

Thanks to all our friends and partners who have believed in us and supported us these last five years! You are blessed!

And Carl, I have not forgotten to call you!
