Mark 3:13-15

And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth [unto him] whom he would: and they came unto him.

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

I read this in my devotion yesterday morning and three things jumped off the page (things I knew already, but needed to be reminded of)

  1. Any ministry that does not flow from "being with Him" needs to stop! We talk about living the wonderful Spirit Filled life, but it is so easy to get wrapped up in the distractions of ministry that we forget it is absolutely NOT about us, getting promoted, selling our books and tapes… it's about the Kingdom of God being established on earth like it is in Heaven! Father help us to stay in communion with You so all our ministry flows forth out of time spent with You!
  2. He is calling us to intimacy with Him, so He can send us forth for Him! With a word from Him!
  3. That word will bring healing and deliverance to a generation crying out for healing and deliverance! (…and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out devils: )

It's time we get back to basics!
