August Kilgoris Kenya Update

I realize some will not get this until Monday morning in the States, but this is the first opportunity I have had to sit down and write more than a one sentence blurb.

We have completed our second week in Kenya and our first week back in Kilgoris at the Maasai Vocational Training. By Friday there were fifty Pastors in attendance, plus the Holy Spirit. Faith and hunger charged the atmosphere in every session.

As I stated in a Facebook post last week, it really messes someone like me up when you see hungry people sit for over 8 hours per day, soaking in every word you are speaking. Many places we go, there is simply not a hunger for God, His word, or His things. Then when you get around people who are hungry, they have a way of drawing things out of you that you didn’t know you had.

For Sunday services, Andrew Peters ministered at Tabernacle Revival Center with Pastor David Memusi. I ministered under a group of trees outside Kilgoris at a brand new church plant that has been established by Pastors Peterson & Jane Sanare.

Preaching to 35 people under a group of trees may not sound like you cup of tea, but it started my engine. The Presence of God was so real and the Holy Spirit touched many.

We begin week two of our Pastors Training in just a few hours, and will also begin to finalize plans for our first youth Conference and Crusade that begins next Monday. Tyler Mock from Samson Alabama and Aaron & Shay Bowman from C3 in Auburn Alabama will join Andrew and me on Friday.

Thank you again to all our friends and partners who have helped and continue to help us fulfill our portion of the Great Commission!

Asante’ Sana!
