Anniversary

The revival in Pascagoula Mississippi continued again last night with another powerful service, just different from the previous nights. And we didn't even have to have a squirrel show up for people to start getting right with God and each other!

February is a month of anniversaries for me. 29 years ago this month I preached my first sermon. It was on Shadrach, Meshach and Adebnego. It lasted three (3) minutes. And I was instantly ready to seek another direction for my life:)

That night on the way home, I sat in the back seat trying to hide the fact that I was crying my eyes out (at 16 years old this was a pretty traumatic experience) and my grandmother (who was hard of hearing and in the front seat) pulled a ten dollar bill out of her purse and gave it to me saying, here son go buy you some books, you're going to need them!

Pam just wishes some nights I would only preach three minutes:)

February is also the month in which 27 year ago I walked the line and took Pamela Doss to be my bride! We were married on Leap Year Day in 1980, so that means we are really celebrating 5 1/2 years of marriage!

It's been a great ride so far and I am the happiest man alive!

I am very grateful to God for my wife, my family, the many friends I have, and the opportunity to be a part of the greatest move of His Spirit since the Day of Pentecost!

Let's keep pressing on till the whole earth is covered with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea!
