Glory to God it’s a new beginning! God in His love and mercy is so gracious to give us a new start each and every year, because He IS the God of a New Beginning.

This week in prayer, Holy Spirit took me to Psalms 15 where I began to see a strong prophetic word for the Body of Christ in 2015.

While I don’t have space in this forum to write everything I see in this passage, there are some distinct points I want to bring to you:

1. People who lose their focus on the big picture will continue to experience a weariness that will pressure them to quit. Failing to renew your spirit and your mind with the Word of God will allow hopelessness to grip your life.

The Psalmist says “Lord, who shall abide in you tabernacle?...” The Psalmist is saying, “Who will be able to make the cut?” Verse 2 says those who walk upright, do what is right, and speaks the truth in their heart. I realize righteousness and holiness are not popular subjects today. Neither is righteousness and holiness what you wear or don’t wear. Righteousness is centered in the heart. 2 Corinthians 5:21 still says “For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

Many people’s faith will be shaken this year as they see disturbing signs in the news, Middle East and in the uncertainty of the economy. Stay. Focused. On. Jesus.

2. This will be a year of double grace. It’s no accident our year number 2015 coincides with the Hebrew year 5775. I am not into numerology, but in the Bible every name and every number carries a very powerful spiritual implication.

After much prayer, I’m convinced Holy Spirit is releasing a double grace to overcome, double grace to release those who have offended us. God is giving us a grace to persevere, a grace to accept a fresh anointing as well as a grace to walk out our calling and current assignment. There will also be a special grace available to complete some of the prolonged transitions we have all be going through!

3. Psalms 15:4 reveals to us this grace will also be upon His people to keep our tongue in check and not give in to the mocking spirit plaguing the people of God. There will also come a greater grace to learn to honor again.

Over the last forty years in the United States, honor has been more equated to idol worship than Biblical honor. Since the 60’s our nation has embraced a culture of dishonor. While there is an element of honor in worship, honor is NOT worship; honor is simply great respect. Every child of God not only has a gift from God in their lives, they ARE a gift to designated people they will meet in their lives. What you fail to honor will leave your life. The first Old Testament Commandment that carries a promise is based on honor: honor your father and mothers that your days may be long on the earth…Exodus 20:12

We’ve missed many blessings that God wanted to unlock in others people’s lives to us, but we didn’t like the package it was coming in. We failed to recognize and honor it, so we missed it.

This is all directly linked to God calling forth an Issachar Company of people. Men and women who understand the times…and know that the Body of Christ should do.
