Pick Up The Trash!
We are continuing revival services through Friday night at Westview Assembly in Opp, Alabama. A wonderful Spirit of Encouragement has prevailed in every service.
Last night we saw many many young people ministered to. I had studied all day as I always do when I am in services, and was all set with what I felt like God wanted me to say. Then, as He does so many times, the Holy Spirit gently nudged me to give my complete testimony. I have given portions of it before in different places, but never the full version.
I am doing what I am doing today because a church believed in reaching out into a community and ministering to people other churches wouldn't give the time of day!
You never know; that rebellious girl or tattooed boy from the projects just might be the next Billy Graham or Joyce Meyers!
That child you have to spend so much time correcting who is disrupting your Wednesday night Bible class just might be the next pastor of your church!
Don't look at trailer trash people as being a burden to pick up and bring to church; you might just be picking up a David Copeland and giving him or her most precious gift anyone could give: time and Jesus!!!!

“you might just be picking up a David Copeland “
That alone makes it worthwhile! Folk that are needy tend to be more open to their need of Christ.

Thanks slw…coming from a “trailer trash” background…and knowing the reason I am in the Kingdom of God is because a Baptist Church sent a purple school bus around to pick me up and carry me to church, even when my parents wouldn’t go…that event was my first encounter with the conviction of the Holy Spirit!
Thank you to all churches who reach out to children and young people that are considered the outcasts of society! I once was in that category, but know I’m found!!!!!

Thanks for reminding us that what we are doing is worthwhile and catches the attention of heaven.
Love you, Brad Morgan
