Lodwar Kenya Report,

David Copeland July 30, 2011 12:09 am

We have just completed our second full day in Kenya. We arrived on late Wednesday night; caught about 5 hours sleep then took off for Lodwar Turkanna which is in the northern area of Kenya.

Lodwar is a very dry and dusty place. After arriving at about 1pm at 4pm we began the afternoon crusade. God revealed some even more fresh things about Bartimaeus that I ministered. At the altar call about 20 people came forward for prayer. We ended up with some competition as UNICEF also did an outdoor presentation that lured some of our crowd away. We need bigger speakers, lol!!!

Friday we began our leaders meeting. Pastor John Olempokoi, Andrew Peters and myself ministered and the Holy Spirit flowed with revelation and a spirit of intercession fell.

As we were worship and praying over the area, a thought exploded into my heart: Until our revelation passes through the furnace of experience (contrary winds, persecution, opposition, criticism) it may be nothing more than a good idea.

Psalm 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him.

I don’t like contrary winds! I love peace and harmony! I love it when everybody loves me and agrees with me! But there are some things in the Word of God that are more than good ideas or nice suggestions. When they pass through the process of experience, they become more than ink on paper: they become reality!

In the afternoon crusade we saw many commit their lives to Jesus and many receive prayer for healing.  Out of the close to 100 that came forward for healing about a quarter of them fell to the group under the power of God. Many just rolled and rolled…it reminded me of how many Pentecostals in America were called Holy Rollers in past days. This time though there was no nice carpet to roll on, just the dirt on the group.

I told Andrew Peters we wouldn’t see many American folks this desperate for God that they would roll in the dirt. But if things keep going the way they are going….maybe we will.

Desperation will bring you back to the Old Rugged Cross.

Thank you for your continued prayers. Our Pastors Conference ends today. Please pray for the fire of the Holy Spirit to fall on the pastors and leaders of Lodwar!
